Phil is a native Georgian and earned a BBA in accounting from the University of Georgia and a MBA in management from Georgia State University. He began his career in accounting with a diversified Fortune 250 industrial organization. Over a number of years with this organization he held positions in accounting, human resources and line management. He was responsible for career development and training, management succession planning, and compensation. Phil held positions requiring significant involvement in organization design and merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions from both a human resources and operational standpoint. This unique combination of experiences helped him develop an understanding and appreciation for how human resources initiatives must provide business solutions impacting bottom-line results.
Prior to establishing Phillip Blount & Associates, Inc. in 1996, Phil spent over fifteen years with the Hay Group, one of the world's largest human resources consulting firms. During that time, he worked with clients in several areas including executive compensation, sales force effectiveness, and the design and implementation of management incentives. Phil also did significant work with clients on organizational design issues and performance improvement. He was a pioneer in the development of one of the first competency-based pay systems in 1990. He served in a number of leadership roles including Vice President and Managing Director of the firm's operation in the Southern United States. Phil also served on the North American Strategy Committee.
During his consulting career, his clients have included organizations in a wide range of industries and services such as entertainment, hospitality, real estate development, banking, foods, healthcare, retailing, utilities, automotive manufacturing, metal fabrication, construction, agri-business, appliance manufacturing, mining, tire manufacturing, building materials and the not-for-profit and faith-based sectors. Phil's track record of results and long-standing client relationships have become his hallmark with a number of clients having worked with him for more than twenty years.
Phil is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and a Global Remuneration Professional (GRP), both professional certifications granted by WorldatWork, formerly the American Compensation Association. He is the recipient of their Lifetime Achievement Award. He is also a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and the Atlanta Area Compensation Association. Phil has served as a guest lecturer/speaker for such organizations as the American Management Association, the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, the Society for Human Resource Management, the University of Georgia, and Georgia State University. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Board of the University of Georgia Alumni Association, and as President of the Board of the Atlanta Youth Choir. He is past Chairman and serves on the Board of the ministry KidStuff Around the World.

Originally from Lawrenceville, Georgia, Lauren attended the University of Georgia, in Athens, where she earned a B.S.A. in Communication, along with an interdisciplinary certificate in leadership and service. While attending UGA, Lauren was a founder member of the University's chapter of the National Society for Leadership and Success and served as VP of Finance for ACT, a communication organization.
As a member of WorldatWork, Lauren recently earned her CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification and her GRP (Global Remuneration Professional) certification.
Since joining PB&A in August 2010, Lauren has been involved in an array of projects, with a focus in compensation related projects, including market surveys, compensation structure design, and benefits assessments. She has experience with both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations across a wide range of industries including financial services, churches, higher education, manufacturing, and agricultural business. Lauren has also been involved in the firm's marketing and social media as well as design of PB&A's newsletter and website.
Information: Anita Davis serves as an Executive Assistant and Client Services Coordinator with Phillip Blount and Associates, a human resources consulting firm based in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Originally from San Jose, California, Anita has over ten years of experience as an Executive Assistant, including support of executives and a team of 85 personnel for a telecommunications firm in Stockton, CA and over five years of experience with customer sales and support. This includes work as a team leader responsible for developing team objectives and metrics thereby ensuring customer needs were met or exceeded.
Since joining PB&A in December 2005, Anita has had various responsibilities to support the President and consultants. She is responsible for client interface and overall office management. Anita is the point of contact and accountable for billing, invoicing, collections and manages the President's calendar. Anita's experience also includes preparing presentations, correspondence, spreadsheets, producing reports and becoming increasingly involved in project completion.
