Information: Phil Blount is President of Phillip Blount & Associates, Inc., a management consulting firm providing clients with custom designed human resources solutions helping to meet the challenges present in today's changing business environment.

Phil is a native Georgian and earned a BBA in accounting from the University of Georgia and a MBA in management from Georgia State University. He began his career in accounting with a diversified Fortune 250 industrial organization. Over a number of years with this organization he held positions in accounting, human resources and line management. He was responsible for career development and training, management succession planning, and compensation. Phil held positions requiring significant involvement in organization design and merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions from both a human resources and operational standpoint. This unique combination of experiences helped him develop an understanding and appreciation for how human resources initiatives must provide business solutions impacting bottom-line results.

Prior to establishing Phillip Blount & Associates, Inc., Phil spent over fifteen years with the Hay Group, one of the world's largest human resources consulting firms. During that time, he worked with clients in several areas including executive compensation, sales force effectiveness, and the design and implementation of management incentives. Phil also did significant work with clients on organizational design issues and performance improvement. He was a pioneer in the development of one of the first competency-based pay systems in 1990. He served in a number of leadership roles including Vice President and Managing Director of the firm's operation in the Southern United States. Phil also served on the North American Strategy Committee.

During his consulting career, his clients have included organizations in a wide range of industries and services such as entertainment, hospitality, real estate development, banking, foods, healthcare, retailing, utilities, automotive manufacturing, metal fabrication, construction, agri-business, appliance manufacturing, mining, tire manufacturing, building materials and the not-for-profit and faith-based sectors. Phil's track record of results and long-standing client relationships have become his hallmark with a number of clients having worked with him for more than twenty years.

He is a member of the Christian Leadership Alliance, the Society for Human Resource Management, Atlanta Area Compensation Association, and World at Work, formerly American Compensation Association (ACA), and is the recipient of their Lifetime Achievement Award. Phil has served as a guest lecturer/speaker for such organizations as the American Management Association, the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, the National Association of Accountants, the Society for Human Resource Management, The University of Georgia and Georgia State University. Phil has served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the University of Georgia Alumni Association, and as President of the Board of the Atlanta Youth Choir and the Board of Advisors for the Entrepreneurship Institute - Atlanta Chapter. Currently he is serving as Chairman of the Board for the ministry KidStuff Around the World.

Information: Barbara Mackintosh, originally from Macon, GA, graduated with honors from the University of Georgia, Phi Beta Kappa, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. While completing her undergraduate degree, Barbara also served as a research assistant for several Industrial/Organizational Psychology doctoral research projects.

Upon graduation, Barbara completed the University of Virginia's McIntyre Business Institute's business degree program, an accelerated business program focusing on finance, management, accounting, MIS, and marketing. She obtained her Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and was employed by General Electric Industrial Systems as a Human Resources Associate for the finance and sales department.

Barbara joined Phillip Blount and Associates in August of 2002 as an Associate. She is currently Manager, Consulting Services and is involved in an on-going variety of human resources consulting projects including base compensation design, incentive design, executive compensation, assessment and training, performance management, and organizational effectiveness. Barbara is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management, World at Work, Atlanta Area Compensation Association, and is a Certified Compensation Professional and a Senior Professional in Human Resources.
